掘寶之旅─兩位身障成人之學佛歷程及其對生活影響之研究=The Journey of Discover Treasure The study of the process of learning Buddha and how it effects on life for two adults with disabilities
This study aimed to show two adults with disabilities in the place of Buddhistic activity, what did they learn from it,and how the acquisition influences on their life. So this study with depth interview methods of qualitative research, and observation methods explores the process of learning Buddha and how it effects life for two adults with disabilities.
The general results of this study are the following: The process of learning Buddha undoubtedly is like discovering treasure, dharma is vast like the sea, therefore, two adults with disabilities, who have found different treasure from Buddisim and how they regard Buddisim in their eyes and how they practice in their lives. 1.The process of learning Buddha for two adults with disabilities : Before two adults with disabilities have not realized dharma, they realized contemplating the feelings is painful and learning from the pain which they had suffered, two adults with disabilities all were confronted with their disablilities, feeling the pain of life, therefore, they wanted to find the consolation of their heart, trying to pursue the way of extricate. After join the place of Buddhistic, they all like the groups life and atomosophere of this place. Meanwhile, they had the doubt and sensation on their ways of learning Buddha, the process of learning Buddha of two people respectively were :(1)the process of learning Buddha is associated with you, me, and her, everyone is indispensable,(2)showing it on the stage of your life. 2. The process of learning Buddha effects on the life of two adults with disabilities : after two adults with disabilities learned Buddha, the main change on their lives were being a vegetarian, living in the style of monasticism, and almsgiving of valuables to help those who is needed. The change on their mind is having compassionate, respectful, and simple heart. They had different interpretation for their disability, one was causality, the other one was the concept of karma. Overall to them, the process of learning Buddha for the life of two adults with disabilities, it has brought some positive effect and change on their life.
According to this study and conclusions, suggestions are given towards to the family, the society, the Bodhimanda, and the other future researchers.
