The Anxi and Shazhou Posts were set up in the second year of the Yongzheng era( 1724) and the Shazhou Post was upgraded to Shazhou Garrison in the fourth year(1726). The widely accepted opinion that " the Anxi Garrison and Shazhou Post were set up in the first years of the Yongzheng era( 1723) and Shazhou Post was promoted to a garrison in the third year of the Yongzheng era(1725)" is not true. Whether one correctly interprets historical documents, how much knowledge he or she has about how the historical documents took shape, and how well he or she understands the development of the region in question will greatly influence the credibility of his or her academic results.
