This paper is a detailed study on the arrangement of two animal statues in Mogao cave 321,now kept in Russia,and the extant statues in Mogao Cave 321,and posits that the two original animal statues are auspicious white wolves.Their appearance in the caves was related to Yin Shouzhong,one member of the Yin Family at Dunhuang.The statues in other Mogao caves that are similar to the two in cave 321 were their imitations,functioning as the guardians of the Dharma.
