| 摘要 | In July through October 2012,archaeological excavation was conducted to the Xishanpo(West Hillside) Locus in the Imperial City of the Shangjing(Upper Capital) City Site of the Liao Dynasty.The remains and artifacts recovered in the excavation showed that the Xishanpo Locus was a Buddhist temple site built in the Liao Dynasty.The north complex of this temple was a wall-enclosed rectangular courtyard facing east;in the west of this courtyard were the foundations of three hexagonal Buddhist pagodas,in front of which were small-sized architectural foundations and a square.The Architectural Foundation No.1 was a large-scale foundation,from which large amount of Buddhist clay sculptures were unearthed.This excavation will be significantly influential to re-understanding the form and layout of the Imperial City Site of the Shangjing Site of the Liao Dynasty,and also provided important physical materials for the researches on the archaeology,history,Buddhism and architecture of the Liao Dynasty. |
