Laurence Binyon was a British poet and an authority on Far East paintings.He is one of the earliest Western scholars who studied Dunhuang silk paintings.His research consisted mainly of articles and lectures on Dunhuang silk paintings.By presenting exhibitions,he introduced Dunhuang paintings to the public.His accurate orientation and evaluation of Dunhuang silk paintings laid the foundation for later research. |
