In the epigraphy,the epitaphs and the Miao Zhenzan eulogies in the Dunhuang manuscripts,a great many of primordial materials of language at the end of the Tang and Five Dynasties have been preserved,which are of great value to the lexicological study.The present paper is based on ZHENG Bing-lin’s book A Collection of Inscriptions, Epitaphs and Eulogies from the Dunhuang Manuscripts.From this work are chosen some words and expressions which are difficult to decipher and also have not yet been included in various dictionaries.The paper attempts to decipher these expressions selected by referring to inherited documents.
