| 摘要 | MiaoJue Temple is located at Baishui Middle School, southwest of the Baishui Country, Shaanxi Province. It was discovered during the school construction. The temple foundations consistd of underground passageway and the underground palace. 6 statue steles, incomplete text poles, stone tower, gold and argent tower, reliquary and sarira, bronze mirror and other valuable cultural relics were unearthed. 2 of these 6 statue steles belong to Beiwei Dynasty, 2 belong to Xiwei Dynasty and the other 2 belond to Beizhou to Sui Dynasty. According to these statue steles, it was presumed that the MiaoJue Temple should be built in Xiwei Dynasty and broken down at the end of Song Dynasty or the early Ming Dynasty. MiaoJue Temple Pagoda should be built at least before 1022 A.D. The underground palace was closed in 1023 A.D., the first year of TianSheng, RenZong of Song Dynasty. It is the first detailed dated underground palace of Beisong Dynasty in Shaanxi Province. |
