| 摘要 | 1995年,山東省文物考古研究所在清理長清靈巖寺塔基淤土時,發現了37幅北宋阿育王故事浮雕嵌板。迄今所知,這是中國乃至世界上唯一的阿育王故事組雕圖像,是考察阿育王信仰不可多得的實物證據。筆者以實地調查資料為基礎,首先介紹靈巖寺塔基的浮雕現狀,繼而結合相關的經典文獻,詳細地考釋了這些浮雕圖像的內容,并闡述了阿育王信仰在中國的流行情況。 In 1995,when clearing silt from the foundations of the pagoda of the Lingyan temple in Changqing,the Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics and Archaeology Institute discovered 37 Northern Song Dynasty relief carved panels relating the story of King Ashoka. This is the only narrative frieze of the story of King Ashoka found to the present day in China, or indeed in the world,and it provides the rarest of material evidence for researching King Ashoka beliefs.On the basis of fieldwork materials,the author introduces the relief carvings and,with reference to related scriptural texts,provides a detailed analysis of the content of the illustrations,describing the popularity of King Ashoka beliefs in China. |
