| 摘要 | For a proper dialogue and harmony between different religious traditions it is more desirable to look for “what is common” than “what is different.” When the threefold training, a self-cultivation system of Buddhism, is compared with the three stages of resurrection, a human development system of the Unification Church, a large degree of commonality is observed in their systems and contents. In this study I want to do a comparative research on the threefold training of Buddhism (virtue (sila), concentration (samadhi), and wisdom (panna)) and on the three stages of resurrection of the Unification Church (the age of justification by deeds, the age of justification by faith, and the age of justification by attendance). In the Unification Church, the age of justification by deeds corresponds to the cultivation of virtue in Buddhism, the age of justification by faith to the cultivation of concentration, and the age of justification by attendance to the cultivation of wisdom. The final stage Buddhist practitioners reach through their threefold training system is complete liberation based on awakening to their Buddha nature. This is in line with the final stage of the resurrection process, which is to be in union with God on awakening to one’s divinity. Commonality is also found between the concept of cyclic existence (sa .sara) in Buddhism and the concept of returning resurrection in the Unification Church. The latter expounds that one must return to the earth to complete the stages of resurrection. |
