| 摘要 | This discourse seeks to review three methods of understanding the physical-metaphysical relationship of the universe, or consciousness as we understand it. The first method to be considered is the Western scientific study of the relationship of the brain to the mind. The second mode of inquiry is to explore the newly developed postmodern view of quantum consciousness. The third means of exploration is an examination of the Buddhist philosophy on consciousness. To begin the discussion, we will turn first to the Western historical account of consciousness. |
