| 摘要 | The article focuses on the Five Positions of Ruler and Minister devised by Master Dong Shan following his experience of complete enlightenment. It provides a short biography of Ch'an master Dong Shan, founder of the Cao Dong lineage of Ch'an Buddhism. A translation of the "Precious Mirror Samandhi Song" is presented along with the song of the five positions of ruler and minister. Three discernable stages of the path to self-knowledge are discussed involving the void and the form. |
