| 摘要 | The article focuses on the ethical dimension of the five precepts of Buddhism. Ethics is defined as well as its relationship with laws and how it operates in resolving dilemmas pertaining to good, bad, right and wrong within a society. Buddhist ethics is discussed along with its five precepts for cultivating more virtuous behavior. Commentary on these precepts is presented highlighting that they are moral codes of conduct that Buddhists willingly undertake along with three components of action. |
