| 摘要 | 五台山佛教與宋統治者的關係頗為特殊，宋太祖時，五台山僧正參與北漢政權，與宋相抗。宋太宗滅北漢後，五台山僧正轉而投靠宋王朝，宋朝廷則給予支援、扶植，同時設置五台山寺務司，以加強管理。宋徽宗時曾一度壓抑五台山佛教。至欽宗時，五台山僧人起兵抗金，效忠宋室。就全國範圍看，五台山佛教地位僅次於東京（開封）的大相國寺，居於天台、峨嵋、廬山之上。 The relationship between Mt. Wutai Buddhism and the Song rulers was very special and subtle. During the reign of Taizhu, the first emperor of the Song Dynasty, Mt. Wutai was within the power of Beihan Force and the Sengzheng, the head of the temple, was supporting the Beihan and thus against the Song. After Taizong Emperor wiped out the Beihan, the Singzheng of Mt. Wutai changed to back the Song. The Song rulers supported Mt. Wutai financially and in other ways. But on the other hand, they set a certain Mt. Wutai Siwusi to strengthen their control over the local Buddhism. Huizong Emperor even went to the extreme to suppress Mt. Wutai Buddhism. During Qinzing's reign, Mt. Wutai Buddhism participated in the fight against the Jin invaders, a neighbouring minority force, showing their loyalty to the Song. Seeing from royal favour paid to the major Buddhist centres, Mt. Wutai was second to the Daxiangguo Temple in Dongjing (the then capital, today's Kaifeng) only, and was above the sects of Tiantai, Emei, and Lushan. |
