Hsin-Hsin Ming=Inscription on Faith in Mind=信心銘; 楞伽師資記; 譯經=The Translation of Sutra
摘要
Since Leng-chia Shih-tzu Chi(楞伽師資記) was discovered, Semg-ts'an's authorship of the Hsin-hsin Ming(信心銘) has been doubted, because of the remark that Seng ts'an did not put away writings into circulation. Ui proposed that Seng ts'an perhaps only recited the text, otherwise written by someone else. Nishitani and Yanagida added some further arguments, considering that the text was written in the eighth century, two centuries after Seng-ts'an. This was accepted as valid by other authors.
