| 摘要 | This text communicates the sense of Buddhism as a comprehensive whole, as it is a non-sectarian guide to the Buddha's essential teachings. From the chapter "Unity of Ways": The follower of Mantrayana knows that samsara can be transformed and that extraordinary beauty can be realized. Seeing no enemies and no ultimate barriers, this practitioner perceives the enlightened nature of all existence. First, recognizing that the mind is the cause of all samsaric suffering, the Mantrayana adept analyzes and penetrates fully the nature of mind. Completely transformed through realization, mind becomes the perfect peace of samadhi, great compassion, and Dharmakaya. The Mantrayana adept recognizes that mind is utterly groundless, lacking all foundation whatsoever. Longchenpa expresses this recognition as magical wonderment: Mind is like the sky independent of affirmation and negation. Clouds may appear and disappear in the sky, but the sky's magic remains not-two and pure. So also it is with primordial Buddhanature - spotless, uncreated, spontaneously present meaningfulness." Penetrating all layers of consciousness, the practitioner understands, realizes, and completely awakens to the nature of mind, which can manifest either as samsara or as nirvana. Awakening to this direct realization, the practitioner is released from suffering. According to Mantrayana, mind is what must be understood, carefully seen, tracked, and transformed. Mantra means instrument (tra) for transformation of mind (man). With skillful techniques and precise knowledge, the agitation of mind, its thoughts, feelings, echoes, and reflections can be completely transmuted. |
