| 摘要 | The author, Bhagavan Shri Shanmukha Anantha Natha, is known by his initiated name. This name reveals his initiation into the Uttara Shaiva Tradition. He is also well-versed with the Dakshina Shaiva Traditions. It is through the practice of Tantra that the Veda unfolded to him (see this author's concurrently released work "Divine Initiation"). The realization of the Veda enabled him insight into other religions such as Buddhism. This Book retrieves for the first time in contemporary history the meaning of the Buddhist religion. It reveals an altogether unknown insight into Buddhist philosophy, metaphysics, history and politics. It thus releases the Buddhist religion from the "crucifix of belief" to regain its dignity as a science. With this, the usual speculations on Buddhism propagated by Orientology are invalidated and the traditional pristine Buddhist philosophy is reinstated. Indeed, this work enables the reader to understand the wholesome nature of Buddhism. After reading this work, one can understand all the so-called sects of Buddhism from, Theravada, Sarvastivada, Mahasanghika, and Mahayana through to Yogacara and Ch'an or Zen. It also retrieves the so far considered lost traditions as the Mahasanghika and its five interpretations (Lokottarvada, Haimavata, Prajniptivada, Purva and Apara Shailas). This work also reveals the relevance of the Buddhist Tantras. It thus explains the relevance of Vasubandhu and Asanga from Bu-ston's (1290-1364) authentic record known as the "History of Buddhism in India and Tibet." It also explains the significance of the Chinese/Japanese Ch'an/Zen record of Buddhism known as the "Transmission of the Light" (Ching-te Ch'uan Teng-lu in Chinese and Denkoroku in Japanese). |
