Zen is Buddhism with Chinese characteristics. It is a kind of Chinese spiritual philosophy. These was some close connection between Zen and Tang-Song literary men. During the course of the influence of Zen, Tang-Song literary men had three kinds of special aesthetic mind: leisureliness, dimness, and quietness, which were usually in their peom writing and the world of drawing art.
