The book has sold nearly 200,000 copies since it was first published in May 2001. The book is the first, miniature edition. There is also a second, larger volume now available containing 70% new material. In May 2004 (available now for pre-order) a special box kit of "Open Your Mind, Open Your Life" will be released including a polished and engraved fortune stone, wooden bookmark bearing a timeless thought of inspiration, and illustrated paperback booklet featuring excerpts from the original book.
Brief nuggets of Eastern wisdom from 20-something model and writer T. Gold are available in the tiny, well-designed Open Your Mind, Open Your Life：A Little Book of Eastern Wisdom. Most of the book's thoughts on happiness are Gold's own, interspersed with quotations from Nichiren, Confucius, Lao Tzu and Soka Gakkai leader Josei Toda.
