| 摘要 | Examined help-seeking behavior and interactions of a Cambodian-American family concerning the psychological difficulties endured by the mother of the family. An event chronology was created based on a raw narrative concerning a Cambodian-American female dealing with the news that all members of her family of origin were murdered during the regime of Pol Pot. The narrative adopts the point of view of traditional Cambodian beliefs, incorporating both Buddhist and Khmer folk religious beliefs. Collected data were analyzed through event structure analysis and its computer analog，ETHNO. Results show dead-end，stopgap，pivotal actions; cycles, trajectories and simplex and complex causal chains. Both traditional and Western help was sought and enacted. In this case，denouement occurred when a 2nd，more powerful kru khmer or traditional healer，initiated a more intense intervention. |
