| 摘要 | Examined possible counseling approaches for depressives from the view point of mourning work. S was a 61-yr-old male patient with depression in Japan. S received counseling from the author. Based on a case study，the 4 aspects of mourning work were examined：(1) preparation for mourning work; (2) commitment to mourning work; (3) the way Japanese accept loss; and (4) counselor's roles in mourning work. The results of this case study showed that the S had clarified his philosophy of life through the process of mourning work. A comparison between Buddhist idea and Japanese styles of acceptance of loss was discussed. |
