| 摘要 | Belief diversity can be handled tolerantly or dogmatically，but knowledge diversity holds out hopes of global validation and its minimization. The contemporary European hegemony lends urgency to the problem，well-meaning softening is no help. Belief-based ideologies and knowledge-based disciplines differ radically but both operate within human worldviews, which, like lifestyles, are a part of human interaction with environment. A philosophical analysis, followed by a case study comparing Indian and European psychologies lets us see that，far from being a nuisance or a spice，human diversity improves, like biodiversity，our chances of success. True globalization，yes; European recolonization，no. |
