| 摘要 | The theory of religion this article advocates is one that seeks to do justice to the essentially polymorphic character of the phenomenon of religion. It outlines the distinction between three aspects of religious experience：the cognitive，the volitional，and the emotional，while emphasizing the sense in which religious language is capable of making factual assertions about reality. The overall purpose of the article is to relate religion to a view of man first in terms of structural elements and then in terms of its content. In this way the article indicates the possibility of structural similarity between theistic religions and such special cases as Buddhism or even Marxism. |
