| 摘要 | This article compares the ethical thought of Wittgenstein and the ethical thought of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism. The theme is that the two，although not identical，are very similar in the thrust of their thought. This claim is substantiated by looking at the role that the notion of silence plays in each view. |
