| 摘要 | The usual definition of vikalpa is 'knowledge which follows words and is unaccompanied by a corresponding object'. But bhiksu defines it as 'that knowledge which is followed by word and its meaning'. He thus makes "vikalpa" the basis of everything, which lends itself to conceptualization and verbalization. The above definition of "vikalpa" along with the division of "savikalpaka" and "nirvikalpaka" in the yoga system brings bhiksu's definition close to the vijnanavada of Buddhism and the grammarian's theory of "vikalpa". According to bhiksu in "vikalpa" there is more than the given which is expressed. It is only samadhi that one achieves a true perception of the object. |
