| 摘要 | The purpose of the book is to show the importance and uniqueness of Ch'ondogyo thought within Korean tradition. The book interprets the concept of man as central in Ch'ondogyo. It provides a historical background from the time of its founding by Ch'oe Suun in 1860，and analyzes the origin，nature，conduct，and destiny of man in Ch'ondogyo. The book concludes that the ideas of "man is heaven (god)" and "treat man as god" are central and unique in Ch'ondogyo and that Ch'ondogyo has many unique ideas, although some ideas are influenced by Confucianism，Taoism，and Buddhism，etc. |
