| 摘要 | The department of industrial design is undertaking a research of its design curricular and teaching programs upon the basis of the belief of Venerable Hiu-Wan，the founder of the college，"the combination of the humanities and technology". And "the teaching of kindness and wisdom". It is aimed at integrating the education of innerconsciousness and humanities from the curricular activities here in Huafan to help cultivate the industrial designer who is well-equipped with the specific domain of design and that of humanities. The policy of such curricular planning is to accomplish the doctrine of the education of innerconsciousness and the combination of humanities and technology. In light of this, the role of industrial design is first specified in order to pinpoint the educational direction of the department and to set up the criteria of the competence of the design graduate in terms of professional know-how，skill，and artistic faculty. Upon the basis of the curricular planning，it is possible to evaluate the holistic performance of design education by the way of making explicit the attribute and characteristic of each design course in the theoretic area. The total performance of implementing the doctrine of the education of innerconsciousness and the combination of humanities and technology is closely related to the long term goal of curricular planning at the department of industrial design. It is our hope to clarify the inter-relationship of the industrial design educational system from the scientific and systematic approach. And it is our belief that the implementation of the doctrine of the education of innerconsciuosness and the combination of humanities and technology is just what we need to cope with changing times. |
