| 摘要 | The definition of humanities derives from the Book of Change. In one of the 64 hexagrams, the Pi hexagram says, "We look at the ornamental figures of the sky,and thereby ascertain the changes oft eh seasons. We look at the ornamental observances of society, and understand how the processes of transformation are accomplished all under heaven." The so-called "humanities" can be explained as "the cultural spirit of the Chinese people. There is abundance of Chinese cultural heritage. The curricula which have something to do with Chinese cultural heritage are called humanities courses. Thus, we call such education "humanities education". Huafan College of Humanities and Technology offers both technology and humanities curricula. It's a combination of humanistic thought and technological research. It is our expectation that Huafan College of Humanities and Technology will some day take the lead and reach its goal in fostering talents. |
