| 摘要 | There is no Buddhist scriptures without mentioning Buddhalands. The following is a passage from chapter VI Parable of the Prediction of the Lotus Sutra: "...... Whose domain shall be named Undefiled, whose land will be even and straight, pure and adorned, peaceful and prosperous, filled with celestial people; the ground of lapis lazuli, having eight intersecting road with golden cords to set bounds to their sides, flanked with trees of the Seven Precious things, always full of flowers and fruits." "His domain will be beautiful, free from dirt, shards, thorns and uncleanness; its land will be level and straight with no uneven places, neither hollows nor mounds; its ground will be lapis lazuli; it will have rows of jewel-trees, golden cords to set bounds to the ways, be strewn with precious flowers, and purity will reign everywhere." Its Bodhisattvas will be numerable. You may think it impossible for people to create such a wonderful Buddhaland, yet if people practice in accordance with Buddhist studies and meditation techniques, it can be carried out. This passage is from Isaiah 11:5 of the old Testament "and the wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard lie down with the kid; the calf and the young lion will feed together, with a little child to tend them. The cow and the bear will graze, and their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like cattle. The nursing child will play over the cobra's hole, and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den. There will be neither hurt nor harm in all my holy mountain; for the land will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD,as the water cover the sea." Viewed from the point of humanism, such a Buddhaland is similar to the one mentioned in Confucianism's "Book of Proprieties" -- A World of the great commonwealth of peace and prosperity. The means of attaining such a state is through the practice of Buddhadharma and Jesus' almighty knowledge. |
