| 摘要 | The purpose of the work is to examine Sartre's existentialist views on the nature of man by analyzing his concept of nothingness. The Sartrean meaning of 'Nothing' does not refer to something insubstantial as Ayer had supposed and also is not to be confused with what was meant by the term as used by the Greek philosophers, advaita vedantists and the Madhyamika school of the Buddhist tradition. Sartre has used the term 'Nothing' in a new and extraordinary sense and has thus created confusion particularly when other existentialists like Kierkegaard have not used the term in that bizarre sense. |
