| 摘要 | In a lecture delivered at the British Buddhist Society's 1999 Summer School, the writer discusses Sila practice, the Buddhist rules of conduct. He observes that their purpose appears to be to change what we feel are our natural habits. However,he points out that when,by practice,we have changed them,we discover that the conduct that we had to force ourselves to do is in fact an expression of our deepest nature. |
