| 摘要 | I argue that the religious pluralism of J. Hick，P. Knitter，et al.，which sees the various religions as different and equally valid human responses to the same divine Reality，is epistemologically untenable. A concise survey of Hinduism，Buddhism，Islam，and Shinto shows that the major traditions give different and mutually incompatible answers to fundamental questions on the nature of the religious ultimate，the human predicament，and salvation/liberation/ enlightenment. Criteria for assessment of different religions are considered. A final chapter deals with issues relating to evangelism，dialogue，and tolerance within Christian mission. |
