| 摘要 | This proposal that trust is the heart of religion is jointly supported by study of religious attitudes as expressed in the key Vedantist，Buddhist，Hebrew，and Christian terms "sraddha, visvasa, bitachon，emunah, pistis, " and by an understanding of trust as four-dimensional：instrumental reliance，I-Thou relation，security，and openness. Trust is more central to religion than will or commitment，love，or belief. This proposal also challenges distinguishing between the truth of beliefs and their usefulness. Trust as one component in religious attitudes has been studied by Donald Evans, Hans Kung，Maurice Friedman and especially Raymond Panikkar. |
