| 摘要 | This paper compares two attempts to address a perceived crisis in Christian theology. Don Cupitt argues that a new，nonrealist'，Christian spirituality can only be humanly constructed'. Drawing on Buddhist thought，Cupitt suggests that religious alternatives do not require a realist' cosmology. In contrast，Keith Ward attempts to establish the coherence' of realist theology by showing the spiritual convergence' between Vedanta and Christianity--each tradition providing a different path to (the same) God. Both Cupitt and Ward，respectively，seek the revival and legitimation of Christian spirituality in Eastern religious traditions. |
