| 摘要 | The starting point of the philosophical dialogue between Schopenhauer and Buddhism is the problem of human suffering. They agree in neither subject nor object being a substance in itself and consider the world as a dynamic and osmotic harmony of both. Suffering only exists for a subject that clings to the illusion of its own substantiality and that of the object. The philosophy of Schopenhauer as well as main concepts of Mahayana Buddhism (Pratityasamutpada, sunyata) take that idea as a common base. |
