| 摘要 | An article responds to an editorial by Allendorf (1997;11:1045-6) on the parallels between Zen Buddhist teachings and understandings that have been born from modern ecology. The writers agree with Allendorf that ecologists, conservationists, and the public would benefit from a greater understanding of these teachings but also enunciate that Jewish teachings advance awareness of the interconnectedness of humans with their environment and reverence for the environment. |
