| 摘要 | The article questions the widely accepted view that the Upanisads, the Brahma Sutras and the Gita (called the (prasthana trayi) provide a fundamental authority for "all" schools of Indian philosophy. The claim is obviously false not only in the case of the Buddhism，Jainism and the Carvaka, but also in the case of the various schools of Vedanta. The article examines in detail the claim in respect of these various schools of nonadvaitic Vedenta and finds it to be untenable. |
