| 摘要 | The traditional Indian typology of six orthodox and three heterodox philosophies is shown to be inadequate. Numerous examples are provided which demonstrate that Buddhism and Jainism are often in close agreement with orthodox philosophies on significant philosophical issues. A study of twelve standard Indian philosophy textbooks reveals that thirty-six schools of Indian philosophy were reviewed in special chapters in at least two of the twelve volumes. An analysis of 12,370 references indicates that over 100 articles were written on 19 different systems of Indian philosophy. |
