| 摘要 | Alasdair MacIntyre's ethics lacks an account of intrinsic moral value：It does not describe the full sense in which the final human end is intrinsically morally good or some actions are truly virtuous. Consequently，it does not provide a satisfactory response to moral relativism or a pedagogically useful account of how sound practical judgment develops. I undertake in this paper to (1) introduce an interpretation of intrinsic moral value，(2) summarize Mahayana Buddhist teachings that forestall objections to that interpretation，(3) explain why moral intuitions are a recurrent feature of moral theories, and (4) indicate key implications for educational practice. |
