| 摘要 | Buddhist Dukkha and its social aspects in the writings of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is an extensive study of problem of social suffering of Indian masses due to their caste tradition. The feeling of untouchability in Hindu religion and social difference, inspired Dr. Ambedkar to leave Hinduism and embrace Buddhism. The present dissertation is fundamentally structured in three parts: the first part begins with Buddhist understanding of Dukkha (suffering) and its root causes. The second part deals with only the writings of Dr. Ambedkar concerning social suffering of the untouchables. His analysis of the caste system, the untouchables and Who were the Shudras? etc., was intended to bring about a homogeneous society based on human values and truth. The third part goes to express the missiological evaluation of Dr. Ambedkar's ideas and deeds. It deals with the struggles of dalit Christians in India and challenge the missionary Church of India to co-operate with them for finding their identity. In conclusion it is stated that the dalits are the India's indigenous people. |
