| 摘要 | This thesis explores both a theoretical and clinical integration of Buddhism with drama therapy. In the review of theory, I discuss drama therapy in relationship to Buddhism, highlight several areas of Buddhist thought and practice which interface with drama therapy, and discuss deep ecology's influence on my understanding of a Buddhist inspired drama therapy. In the clinical section, I present three case examples, which provide connections between drama therapy and Buddhism. The first two case analyses include the individual treatments of an eight year old boy and a ten year old girl at a locked psychiatric facility. The third case example is a group drama therapy session with first year high school students utilizing a deep ecology ritual entitled Council of All Beings. In addition to the material presented, further suggestions are made for theoretical and clinical applications of a Buddhist inspired drama therapy. |
