| 摘要 | This thesis has a written component and a performance video; they are partners in the discovery of the what, why, and how of forgiveness. Forgiveness is viewed from a philosophical, spiritual, psychological, and practical perspective. This thesis shows how psychological and emotional blocks are necessary obstacles on one's path and must be acknowledged and then worked through before forgiveness, or a letting go, can occur. Buddhist thought, drama therapy, and self-revelatory performance are integrated to develop a personal process and practice of forgiveness. Theatre, psychodrama, ritual, and the role of the audience are shown to enhance the therapeutic intent of the self-revelatory performance. The self-revelatory journey includes the audience and inspires self-inquiry, encouraging a unique process of becoming, expressing, and transforming. |
