| 摘要 | The shakuhachi and its repertoire have undergone great change since its introduction into Japanese music in the 13th c. During the Edo period (1603-1867) it was the instrument of Zen-Buddhist beggar priests. Today it is used to play Western music. Its manufacture is discussed in terms of these changes. |
