| 摘要 | The films 'Seven Years in Tibet' and 'Kundun' both tackle their subjects with a great deal of respect. However, the two films also fall into the trap of exoticizing Tibetan life, leading to overly simplistic portrayals of Buddhist philosophy. 'Seven years in Tibet' focuses on the true story of the Austrian mountaineer Heinrich Harrer who lived in Tibet in the 1940s and developed a close relationship with the young Dalai Lama. 'Kundun' is an adaptation of the Dalai Lama's autobiography. It features events from his life and tells his story in the context of the annexation of Tibet by Chinese forces. |
