| 摘要 | One of the basic motives of the modern birth of aesthetics was in its new standpoint of axiological evaluation：aesthetics showed a possibility of value judgment without reasoning. The aesthetic means directness or ineffability. So the modern aesthetics considered the beautiful in terms of language，and the aesthetic has always been confused with the sensible qualities with regard to this ineffability. The author proves this is completely incorrect through analysis of Leibnizian text：while the sensible qualities stay before the limit of language，the beautiful is beyond that. So the most suitable attitude to the beautiful is praise in silence. |
