| 摘要 | Space as an acoustic medium determines the temporal sequence of music (virtual as opposed to real time as a factor in composing). Social and technological change creates new dimensions in the time/space problem (for example，opera as chamber music，imaginary spaces created by means of electronics, transposing aural time sequences into visual ones and the reverse). Music is still conceivable without space and time (for example，Zen Buddhism，the medieval music of the spheres). |
