Wudang Mountain was an important center for Taoist ritual activities and is one of the few areas where Taoist ritual music has been well preserved. The history of Taoist activities at Wudang Mountain，ritual categories and the use of ritual music，repertoire and musical structure，regional and transregional musical styles, and the interrelationships among Taoist ritual music，court music，Buddhist ritual music，and secular traditional music are discussed.
