| 摘要 | This thesis explores affinities and differences that exist between Buddhist meditation and a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques. Particular attention is given to the relationship between authentic movement and vipassana meditation. In introducing some key Buddhist terms, I show how concepts that can sound like qualities of negation have more to do with freeing us from the negative effects of conditioning. The Buddhist fluid model of self is a special focus of attention. I explore ways that mindfulness practice can be used to help create a spacious ground in which therapeutic processes can unfold. Mindfulness practice, as a method of personal development, involves growth in awareness of interconnectedness. It is proposed that vipassana can broaden opportunity for the authentic experience of anicca, anatta, and shunyata (Buddhist concepts) in authentic movement, and authentic movement can extend vipassana toward the direct, intentional engagement with psychodynamics and functioning of the relative self in the world. |
