| 摘要 | At the monastery of Hemis, ritual dances are used in the ceremony honoring Padmasambhava that takes place during three days each summer on a fixed calendar date. Each dance is announced by the sounding of short trumpets and/or oboes, punctuated rhythmically by large frame drums and cymbals. The author describes the ballets and individual dances, emphasizing the complexity of the ritual (to analyze the ceremony one must be a specialist not only in Tibetan culture but also musicology，dance，and the history of Buddhism). |
