His personality and scholarly achievements will be dealt with in the next issue of East and West. Meanwhile, ass a tribute to his memory, our Journal is publishing one of his excellent essays: it was written by Professor De Lorenzo in May 1954, prior to the Italian expedition to the K2, which has further enlarged ourscientific knowledge of the Himalayas. |
