The study of Buddhist scriptures of Dunhuang Mss. is lacking now. For example.in the past we were paid great attention to sorting, catague , collation and rectificationof inscriptions of Buddhist scriptures of Dunhuang Mss. but not to the meanings of con-taining in the depth of them. To take inscriptions of Buddhist scriptures as an object ofstudy,the present paper will try to discuss the relations between inscriptions and con-sciouoness of original copyright in ancient tines on three aspects :(1)the relations between signatures in inscriptvions of Buddhist scriptures of the TangDynasty and in the ancient books,(2)the consciousness of recording the original edition in inscriptions of Buddhist scrip-tures of the Tang Dynasty,(3)The protective consciousness of origvical copyright contsining in inscriptions of Bud-dhist scriptures in Dunhuang MSS. of the Tang Dynasty.
